IF YOU MAKE A NOTE OF THAT

So here I am, browsing through a website that's meant to be an 'all about bollywood' thing. And its named, doctorflix.com. Well, how relatable is that ? I wonder. I mean, why am I made to visualize that white
labcoat with a stethoscope around the neck ? The later half is fine though. Yes, it's different and maybe somehow apt to the kind of content you expect. Movie reviews, majorly. So, it's like doctoring or diagnosing movies. But then , it could have been something more exciting or entertaining. You know, bollywood 'ishtyle'.

Moving on with the content, I must say it's one of the few sites dedicated to movie reviewing and not just anything and everything happening in and around the Indian film industry. That makes it a lot more convenient and useful for movie buff cum critic like me and many others, i suppose. This site gives you a 'know-it-all' about the latest and upcoming movies, not to forget, the trailers with a good quality viewing experience. Moereover, it surely earns quite a few brownie points for the precise but tactful articles put up on the website. Anybody who's into filmy magazines, into celb lives or simply analytical about this entertainment industry would hardly, if ever, be able to just skip those write-ups. Yes, they make sense, unlike many published elsewhere, that hardly succeeds in tickling that 'critic bone' of yours. Coming to the homepage, I find it a lot less 'cluttered' in terms of irrelevant promotions and unnecessary images meant to 'decorate', if not to make it messy. The site looks neat and organized and gives you a considerably good browsing experience. Both, in terms of information and entertainment. Rather, its 'infotainment'.

Not very sure  how much it  means to the visitors of this site, but  the sharing options really caught my eyes for a while. It has almost every medium of sharing the contents, from gmail to Xanga. Not to mention, how many of us are even aware of that.

   THE REALITY CHECK:-

After all the good things being said, its time  for the realtime criticism. And that's just about not sounding as candid as I've been till far. You see, criticism shouldn't be fun atleast.
While browsing through the FAQ' page, my experience wasn't really as great as was expected. More so, because of the alignment issue with the same. I mean, how does it feel when you fail to read the beginning of each sentence. So, here's an earnest request to the web designing team to follow up with that.

Coming to the 'Celebrities' section, it really needs to be a lot more attractive. Again, calling out to the design team. You know, you won't really like to view your favorite celebs like a bunch of MBA grads on their college websites. It can be made a lot more colorful with their latest best photographs, or even their latest film posters in the background. It's about the glamour and gliteratti, to say the least and hence has to have the same look and feel. Not just like any other site that one chooses to open only to look for some random information.

Top 5 movies of the month, Top 5 couples and likewise with the actors and actresses might be an interesting add-on to look forward to. Box Office predictions for the upcoming movies by the prominent analysts might as well be of help in adding up the traffic on the site.
With that, I choose to put a lid to my 'critical' intent, if not less. And hope to have much better an experience , the next time I visit doctorflix.
